Everyone knows that feeling of opening up their favorite album for the first time and finally getting the chance to listen to it in their own space.

This month, fans were psyched to get their copy of Beyoncé’s 2016 album “Lemonade” on vinyl but they were in for a big surprise.

When the needle dropped on side A, this is what played:

That’s definitely not Beyoncé. According to a Facebook post, it’s the Canadian punk band Zex. The band said that Side A of Beyonce’s album is actually Side A of their album “Uphill Battle.”

Columbia Records released the following statement after Zex’s Facebook post:

“Due to human error at the Celebrate Records plant in Germany, which Sony uses to manufacture vinyl, a small amount of the European run of the Beyoncé “Lemonade” vinyl included music from Canadian punk band, ZEX, on Side A. Beyoncé and ZEX were not aware of or responsible for the mispress. Fans who purchased the vinyl will be refunded and given a replacement copy. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.”

Zex is getting some amazing publicity as a result of the mishap, but we could imagine that someone on Beyoncé’s team will be unemployed in the near future.
