Winona Ryder was bullied back in middle school for having short hair and wearing boys’ clothes…but she got her revenge.
She said some girls called her horrible names and then slammed her head into a locker and kicked her when she fell to the ground. She said it was so bad she had to have stitches.
But nothing happened to those girls.
It wasn’t until years later, she says, “I went to a coffee shop and I saw one of the girls who said, ‘Winona, Winona, can I have your autograph?’ I said, ‘Do you remember me? Remember in seventh grade you beat up that kid?’ ‘That was me. Go f*** yourself.'” In an interview, she said she thought the bullying would end after she was cast in “Beetlejuice”, but it actually got WORSE, because they started calling her a “witch.”
